No truer words have ever been spoken--Madeleine Winters is widely known as one of the more... odd students of the school. She's a bit crazy, a bit over-the-top, and completely unrepentant for it all. Her favourite pasttimes are pranking and figuring out better ways to avoid getting in trouble next time, and she's developing a love of weeding Professor Longbottom's gardens, as well (as she's had plenty of experience over the past four years doing so).

She tends not to think about a lot of what she's doing, and she can sometimes go a bit too far before realising that she's done anything wrong. Madeleine doesn't quite really know how to apologise to people, either, so whenever she gets into a fight with someone, things can become quite awkward. Strangely enough, though, Madeleine rarely actually winds up in battles with anyone--apparently they've adapted enough to her strange personality enough that they can either ignore her or allow it all.

Madeleine also has a great adoration of nicknames, and almost everyone who she considers a friend will get one. Or two. Or three. Maybe more. It doesn't matter to her whether the person in question minds or not, or if they do or don't complain--the nicknames aren't for the sole purpose of bothering people. And if they do? Well, that's just more entertainment for her!

Madeleine's really a simple sort of girl: She wants to be entertained, and she wants to have fun. And she wants to discover the answers to the most important questions of life. Like, how can one really walk with a spring in their step, for instance? One would fall off of them and it would have the most displeasing consequence of falling on one's nose.

But she'll brave it for the sake of finding the truth!
